Accessibility Signage is important to remove barriers in society. Many people rely on Braille and tactile accessible sign systems.
INPS offers many types of Braille Signage including:
- ADA Method (Engraved)
- Embossed Poycarbonate Lexan
- Eye Catch
- ADA Method (Rastor)
As the first of it's kind in Canada, Ontario has an important law called the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005. The intention of the Act is to develop a clearly articulated set of accessible standards that will provide clarity for organizations aiming to improve information and communications, as well as barrier removal.
For blind and partially sighted individuals, this translates into preferred formats such as braille, large print, e-Text and audio, an accommodation made in order to meet diverse information needs.
